Group Mission Statement:
_{It is our goal on DateMe to compile a (Het) Hinata!Pairing CALENDAR for the year 2009 utilizing the artwork from the Hinata-loving community (DATE Me? Get it?). Each month will be assigned a popular Hinata!Pairing and accompanying theme so that every pairing faction will have a chance in the spotlight ^^

Additionally, we will be sponsoring fanfiction contests alongside our primary calendar project so that everyone ; even those who are not artistically inclined; may participate in our group. The winning entries for each month will be compiled into an anthology for everyone to enjoy. The themes will be the same for both the fanart and fanfiction sections of our contests.}

August -- Dog Days of Summer (KibaHina)
September -- School's In! (KakaHina)
October -- Fearless Hearts (ItaHina)
November -- Falling for You (ShikaHina)
December -- Happy Birthday, Hinata-chan! (Who do you think Hinata would like to spend her birthday with? Artist's choice.)
_{All of these themes are meant to be moderately vague, meaning that entrants can take the idea and run with it (almost) wherever they like. We ask that your submission be seasonal to a certain extent and, of course, include the assigned pairing, but any detail is completely up to the artist/writer. If you so choose, you may make the pairing platonic/non-romantic, but we still ask that both characters be present in your submission.

Obviously, the calendar project is the primary goal of this group, but each month we will also sponsor a fanfiction contest with the same theme. If you don’t happen to be artistically inclined, we encourage you to submit fanfiction instead. The prizes will be smaller, but the Hinata-loving community will thank you.}

General Guidelines:
_{1 ) AU fanart/fiction is acceptable.

2 ) You may portray either young or Shippuden Hinata – doesn’t matter which!

3 ) Mature themes are acceptable for the fanfiction, but please limit the nudity, swearing, sexual elements, etc in your fanart submissions. The winners will be going into a single work for the entire Hinata-loving community, so we want to keep it clean (ie, keep it somewhere between G and PG-13). We’ll be forced to disqualify anything that we feel deserves a “mature” rating/block, no matter how much we like it (Hinata in a two-piece bathing suit or a shirtless MALE character is fine, though).

4 ) Though this group has nothing against either yaoi or yuri, our project is comprised of HET pairings only. There is (technically) opportunity for yaoi/yuri in two of the listed themes, but please resist the temptation.

If another group would like to create a separate calendar featuring yaoi/yuri pairings, please feel free to do so (with your own themes/pairings, of course). We would love to be affiliated with you ^^

5 ) Feel free to submit multiple entries, but limit yourself to a reasonable number (ie, any number higher than 10 is WAY too much). We'd like everyone to have an equal shot at winning ^^

6 ) Your entry MUST be a new work of art/fiction. If it has been previously posted elsewhere, we will be forced to disqualify it from the competition no matter how wonderful it is. Our goal is to inspire the creation of MORE fanart/fiction, not simply celebrate what we already have (though much of it is absolutely wonderful).}

The first fanart/fiction contest will begin January 1st, 2008 and will feature NejiHina and the theme "A New Beginning." Specific guidelines about that particular contest will be posted then.
